The Empire will pocket any Russian concessions, then renege on the agreement.

That's a plausible outcome.

Great read. I searched for TRIPP for some more background and was rewarded with a meditation app, a clothing brand and a Canadian rock band. Thank God for Substack.

Lol. Someone on Trump’s team skipped the Google check on that branding.

If it weren’t for The Brawl Street Journal this would be yet another great topic that interests me that I would have never heard of. World Politics thru energy is a fascinating topic, you and others on Substack are a true blessing. Thank you and Happy Holidays to you and yours! 🎄🎅💒

Really appreciate the kind words. Happy Holidays to you too, Dave!

Didn’t even know about any of these, and I grew up in the Caucasus. Brawl!👏

Thanks for highlighting this, especially the TransCaspian pipeline as a stress test for US/Russia relations is a great takeaway

Good summation, bravo for making the link to wider US strategy for supply chains. One aspect of this region that seems Verboten is US-Iran reconciliation. It would deny China discounted resources, stop driving Iran into the Bear's embrace and provide overland access to central Asia and it's reaources while diluting Pakistan's leverage. Seems a no-brainer, and the type of nimble diplomacy needed in a multinodal world. Alas Washington is still captive to its own foreign policy Ayatollahs and. It free to act rationally.

A US-Iran reconciliation would indeed be a surprising and powerful card to play. Thank you!

This veteran prefers fighting for factories in America and the energy and fuel to build same over fighting for foreign purchases of Treasury Bonds we pay interest on.

Very understandable.

Excellent report! I’ve been waiting for an update on Tripp. Turkey has everything to gain.

The Brawl Street Journal's avatar

Thank you, that means a lot! And yes, this could be Turkey’s moment.

I hope they are ready to go fight that war themselves, I’ll have no part in it.

Thanks for this insightful analysis. Definitely connecting the dots. I doubt we can really read this kind of summary anywhere else.

Appreciate the kind words!

remarkably interesting news that I have not seen anywhere and a very plausible scenario. however, I cannot help but laugh at the idea that Russia is concerned about the environmental impacts of this pipeline on the Caspian Sea. However, kudos to Putin for understanding that there are enough idiots in the west to jump on that train and try to derail anything that Trump does, no matter how beneficial

The Brawl Street Journal's avatar

Thank you! The environmental card is as funny as the Orangemanbad impulse is reliable.

I tried to find what's Armenia getting out of all that, other the handshake pic and I guess the right to exist for a little bit longer. Found nothing.
